Drum roll, please! It’s time to announce NavePoint’s top 10 bestselling products of 2024. Whether working for a small or large business, in a data center or out on a job site, our customers are finding the network racks and cabinets they need.

Of these top products, there is a pretty even mix of both enclosures and open-frame racks, and floor-standing as well as wall-mount models. The most popular sizes cover the gamut from 6U to 45U, though 12U was the most popular. Now for the top 10 of 2024, divided by application but in no particular order:

For Small Businesses:

  1. 12U Wall Mount Open Frame Rack– This popular rack is big enough to hold 200 pounds worth of 16-inch-deep components on the two front mounting rails, but compact enough to fit on the wall in your smallest room. The two rear vertical posts have slots from top to bottom for attaching cables. And of course, the open frame keeps your gear cool and easy to access.
  2. 6U Wall Mount Vertical Enclosure– Imagine a cabinet that can hold components that are up to two feet deep while sticking out from the wall less than a foot. That’s the magic of the vertical enclosure. Turn your gear on its side and load this locking steel cab from the top. Its low profile will fit anywhere, including closets and hallways. The rail depth adjusts from 21 to 24 inches.
  3. 12U Mid-Depth Network Cabinet – These floor cabinets hit the capacity sweet spot. With 30 inches of interior depth, they hold most 19-inch-wide rack-mount components, but they’re compact enough to fit in most rooms. You can put a thousand pounds of gear inside, but it won’t overheat, thanks to large perforated panels on all sides and slots on top for adding fans.

For Multisite Businesses

  1. 18U 4 Post Adjustable Depth Server Rack – Our favorite thing about this open-frame floor rack is its adjustability. Most racks have adjustable rack depths, but with this model the entire enclosure depth changes, from 22.5 out to 41 inches. So, you can expand it to fit the deepest server or contract it to take up less floor space. It also has caster wheels for quick mobility.
  2. 12U Wall Mount Network Cabinet – Our customers love not only how this cabinet functions, but how it looks. For Data Centers

  1. 45U 4 Post Adjustable Server Rack – For some of our customers, capacity and mobility top the list of gotta-haves for a server rack. This steady tower holds 661 pounds of gear. It also lets you move the whole operation, thanks to caster wheels that can lock in place once you get situated. But big doesn’t mean inflexible: this has an adjustable mounting depth of 9.5 to 16 inches.
  2. 42U Network Cabinet – Our customers who require 42 rack spaces but not the huge depth of the biggest cabinets are finding what they need with this more affordable model. It can hold and protect big installations, but its adjustable rack depth of 14 to 20 inches and exterior depth of 23 inches allow more flexibility in where you can fit it. It holds up to 1763 pounds on wheels.
  3. 42U Server Rack Enclosure – Some of our customers need more depth than the 20 inches of the 42U cabinet above, and they’re finding it in this model, which has an adjustable rail depth of 6 to 29.5 inches. It holds an incredible three thousand pounds on locking casters. The reversible glass front door, rear double doors, and removable side panels are all about easy access.

Indoor/Outdoor NEMA Enclosure

  • 10.Weatherproof IP66 NEMA 4 Enclosure– For powering and protecting remote wireless LAN equipment on a job site, our customers are especially fond of this 14-inch by 10-inch cabinet. Its 6-inch depth is just right for holding a number of components. The rugged, sealed ABS plastic housing keeps out dust and water indoors or outdoors, mounted to a pole or a flat surface.
